When Spiders Attack

A few nights ago I woke up to the sound of someone screaming….little did I know it was me.  I apparently had something bite me while I was asleep.  At first I just thought it was a dream and then happened to look down at my arm to see a welt.  I have had allergic reactions to mosquito bites before so assumed that was it.  Last week it just kept getting worse so at the urging of my husband I went to the Doctor.  I personally do everything I can to stay away from doctors concluding in my early 40’s that I have seen them enough thank you very much.  But, I still went and am personally glad that I did because my husband looked up the bite mark and thought it might be a chigger and having been eaten alive by them as a child I have to say the least a very bad reaction to them.  I was prescribed two creams to put on the area one is to help kill any bugs or antibacterial and the other is a steroid that is helping the area to calm down and look normal.

This week my daughter is off for fall break and we spent all day yesterday in our old town.  We saw the movie Dolphin Tale 2 a really great movie and good for kids or  anyone who is tired of Disney, action flicks, or cheesy horror flicks.  We went out to eat lunch, did a few errands, and hung out at Starbucks until my husband was off from work.  Then we barely beat the storms home that dropped tornados around the area.  It was an exciting night and evening as we had to head down to the basement after the siren went off sounding the alarm for a possible tornado.  It was not very fun.

Today is nice and sunny the last day of the week that will have sun.  The rest of the week will have more rain and hopefully less severe weather.  We went to a museum near by for something educational, then off to another small community where we had lunch and then walked the town looking at things in the various shops.  The last time I was there, there was a great pizza place now gone along with a great liquor store to buy wines and other spirits again gone.  It was kind of sad to see.  Then it was off to the park to let my daughter have a bit of fun playing.
